Michael and Linda are two of the sweetest, kindest people we've met through this photography business, and it was such a pleasure to be a part of their wedding day! We felt like instant friends right from the start since they are fellow Tar Heels! :) The two of them met through a mutual friend on the second floor of Davis Library at UNC Chapel Hill, and their first date was at Yo-Po, a favorite spot for all of us Heels! They rode the bus on the way back from their date, but they were talking and enjoying one another's company so much that they missed their stop, took the bus the whole loop, and ended up walking back instead!
They dated for several years, and shortly before Thanksgiving they went out for a nice dinner in Chapel Hill. Since they arrived early, they walked around UNC's campus, reminiscing and talking about some of their favorite memories. They ended up back on the second floor of Davis in the exact spot they had met six years ago. Michael got down on one knee and asked Linda to marry him signing in American sign language, which Linda uses and Michael had been learning. Of course she said yes, and that brought us together at their beautiful wedding day in Greensboro a few weeks ago! :)
One of my favorite details from the day was the gorgeous cathedral veil, pictured in the detail shots below. It was her grandmother's veil, and Linda surprised her as she gracefully walked down the aisle wearing it.
One of the sweetest moments of the day was Linda's first look with her dad. It made me tear up, and I so wish that I had done this with my dad back on our wedding day!
And the other super sweet moment of the day was, of course, Michael and Linda's first look. It was such a beautiful moment to witness, and once again, something else that I think I would have done if I could go back to our wedding day!
